8. The adventure of huckleberry finn "reflection" (need kopo rn!)

Answer:

The book "The Adventures of Huckleberry FInn" by Mark Twain was an amazing book. It really got me interested and kept me wanting to read more. I also loved it because it took me to the 1800's so vividly. It made me feel like if I was witnessing the whole thing. I think that Mark Twain's goal with this book, is to show his readers that everyone is equal, and deserve a chance to be treated with respect. I also think that he was trying to show his readers the flaws in the society at the time, and still even now. Problems such as racism and unfair judgments. I think he was trying to let his society know what they were doing, and what needed to be fixed. Mark Twain did achieve his goals with me because it made me realize even more that everyone deserves the same chances in life, and that listening to what society may think is right at the time, really may not be.

The larger idea of this story is to not put anyone under you just by judging their appearance, because inside they might be a great person. Just like Mark Twain showed that Jim was when Huck started to get to know him more.

What I really enjoyed about this book was the writing. The way Mark Twain made Jim speak made it really realistic. If you compare Jim's tone and grammar and compare it to Huck's, you really see the difference. It helped you remember that this is how things were back then. Not right, and unfair.

Reflection on the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn This novel was truly hard for me personally to read, because I have not really explored the world of southern society. During the days of reading this book I also learned many lessons of how to view the world in a different perspective. I learned that not all traditions can be explained with science or logic, but to just believe on what others thought it would be. The project that came along with this novel was a great way to analyze what the themes of this story consisted of. The themes in this book had many life experiences built within them. Mark Twain had great purpose when writing this book. I believe he wrote this book to show readers that there is never a right or wrong answer when dealing with one’s perspective. This book was a great way to expand my views on how environments and situations can affects decisions of young boy. I have truly learned from this book. I would recommend this to all future students taking this class. I also want to talk about the team participation in my “Superstition” group. Overall, I believe that everyone did their part in contributing to the presentation. Jamacia led the team in making the Jeopardy game, Megan led the making of the powerpoint, Erik led the team in making games like charades, as well as bringing in the awesome smoke machine. I contributed my writing my paper and helping Megan with the presentation. I believe that our team worked well together.Mark Twain's classic The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1884) is told from the point of view of Huck Finn, a barely literate teen who fakes his own death to escape his abusive, drunken father. He encounters a runaway slave named Jim, and the two embark on a raft journey down the Mississippi River. Through satire, Twain skewers the somewhat unusual definitions of “right” and “wrong” in the antebellum (pre–Civil War) South, noting among other things that the “right” thing to do when a slave runs away is to turn him in, not help him escape. Twain also paints a rich portrait of the slave Jim, a character unequaled in American literature: he is guileless, rebellious, genuine, superstitious, warmhearted, ignorant, and astute all at the same time.

23. Write a critique on the story "the Adventures of Huckleberry finn" using Marxist Approach

Answer:

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a novel written by Mark Twain, first published in 1884. The story is set in the mid-1800s in the American South and follows the adventures of a young boy named Huck Finn and his friend Jim, a runaway slave. The novel has been analyzed through various literary approaches, including Marxist theory.

Using a Marxist approach, one could argue that The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn reflects the social and economic conditions of the time in which it was written. Marxists view literature as a reflection of the society and the economic system in which it is produced. In this case, the novel can be seen as a critique of the capitalist system, particularly its impact on the lives of the poor and oppressed.

The character of Huck Finn can be seen as a representation of the working-class, who are oppressed and exploited by the capitalist class. Throughout the novel, Huck is forced to navigate a world in which he is constantly at the mercy of the wealthy and powerful. He is also made to confront the contradictions and injustices of the society in which he lives.

The character of Jim, the runaway slave, can also be analyzed through a Marxist lens. Jim is a victim of the capitalist system, which treats him as property rather than as a human being. His struggles against the system highlight the injustices of the slave trade and the dehumanizing effects of the capitalist system.

Furthermore, the novel can be seen as a critique of the ideology of the ruling class. The novel is set in a society that is built on the exploitation of the poor and the oppressed. The wealthy and powerful use their control over the means of production to maintain their position of privilege, while the working class is left to struggle for survival.

In conclusion, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn can be analyzed through a Marxist approach to literature, which reveals the ways in which the novel reflects the social and economic conditions of the time in which it was written. Through its portrayal of the struggles of Huck and Jim, the novel highlights the contradictions and injustices of the capitalist system and provides a critique of the ideology of the ruling class.

27. compare and contrast that mark twain's the adventures of huckleberry finn and jk rowling's harry potter serie

"Huckleberry Finn vs. Harry Potter"

Most likely, morality was the largest difference between Huck and Harry Potter. In the story, Huck frequently lies, steals, and threatens other people.

Harry Potter frequently engaged in wrong behavior, such as lying and stealing, yet he never went out of his way to cause harm to a student. Harry should try to had a zero tolerance for bullying and showed great compassion for everyone, especially his pals, from the start opposed to Huck.

Despite the fact that Huck and Harry had completely different adventures, saving someone or something was always the ultimate objective.

Huckleberry Finn's forty-three chapters are devoted to his adventures with Tom and Jim, whereas all seven of Harry Potter's books are about his adventures with his companions while defending the wizarding world.

Harry and Huck had quite dissimilar endings and futures. The author of Harry's story actually goes on to describe Harry, his friends, and family in the future. While Huckleberry Finn leaves his home and everything behind, Mark Twain left us wondering what will happen to him after that.

Harry Potter and Huckleberry Finn are such dissimilar works that comparing them to British and American children's literature is simply unfair, especially considering that Huck isn't even strictly a children's book.
