1. why do critics of capitalist globalization argue that regulation, rather than deregulation, is needed?

At a funeral, the preacher was going on and on about how virtuous the deceased man was. Finally, his widow elbowed her son and said, “You’d better go up and check the casket to see if they’ve got the right guy.”

Along this line, a church member once said to me, “There is enough bad in the best of us, so that none of us, should talk about the rest of us.” Within us is a paradoxical inclination toward good and ill, toward sin and saintliness — everything in-between, too. This is because human nature, as Sydney J. Harris said, has the range of a vast concert organ. But the role of good religion is to call forth the best in us. If we take this call seriously, we find ourselves in a lifelong struggle against our dark side so the fullest potential for good within us can be realized.

Answer:

Small regional carriers: Small regional carriers may struggle to compete with larger airlines, leading to concerns about consolidation and a reduction in regional services.

Environmentalists: Some environmental groups are concerned about the increased emissions and other environmental impacts associated with increased air travel resulting from deregulation.

Regulators: Regulators and government officials may be concerned about safety, consumer protection, and other issues, leading them to resist deregulation in the transportation sector.

In conclusion, the issue of transportation deregulation is complex and generates strong opinions from various groups, including the proponents and opponents.

Answer:

kinetic energy, form of energy that an object or a particle has by reason of its motion. If work, which transfers energy, is done on an object by applying a net force, the object speeds up and thereby gains kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is a property of a moving object or particle and depends not only on its motion but also on its mass. The kind of motion may be translation (or motion along a path from one place to another), rotation about an axis, vibration, or any combination of motions.

Translational kinetic energy of a body is equal to one-half the product of its mass, m, and the square of its velocity, v, or 1/2mv2.
